Post attacks the Times for revealing China role in Middle East crisis

New York Post attacks New York Times for revealing Chinese missiles shipments to Hezbollah

New Times OP-ED writer, Robert Pape broke new ground on the role of China in the deepening Lebanon crisis. In his OP-ED-"Ground to a Halt", Mr. Pape said the United States might be able to help assemble an ad hoc coalition of Syria's neighbors to entice and bully it to prevent Iranian, Chinese or foreign missiles from entering Lebanon"...

Mr. Pape dropped the offical Bush-Chinese lobby myth the Chinese are only exporting critical parts for rockets to Hezhollah and use the term missiles. John Podhoretz of the New York Post, Postopinion article “Terror’s Suck-Ups”, called Pape statements about Hezbollah the “most offensive” and suggested to “my fellow University of Chicago alumni: You might want to consider holding back those alumni donation this year. And next. And forever.”

In the same issue of the New York Post paper , write Uri Dan, reports that said even althou Hezbollah artillery(missiles) managed to penetrate 45 miles into Israel on Wesdnesday, but Israel aircraft were able to trace the missiles back to their source. According to Brig. Gen.Amir Eshel, the No.2 man in the Israeli air forces,”all of the launchers were destroyed after the missiles were lanunched”. The General also said-“The air war we are conducting is unpresecdented. But we have a problem with their shorter-range rockets with smaller warheads. We are talking of hundred of lanuchers and thousands of rockets.

The limitation of warplanes in trying to find the smaller, mobile launchers is a major reason for the ground offensinsive. General Eshel statement mades it clear that the newer third generation Chinese missiles are putting the Israeli military to the phyical and finanical limits. The older Chinese anti-tank missiles are taking out Isrseli forward tank formations, slowing the advance in Rajmi and Taibeh.

As suggested in New Times OP-ED article by Robert Pape article, the Israeli military is running out of time in its efforts to destroy the missile launching infrastruture of the Hezbollah. The only military option left is increase Israeli dependency on the US Space Command to help locate and destroy the Hezbollah mobile launchers. As China ships more advance missiles to the Middle East for the next cycle of war, the Israeli dependency on US Space Command will deepen.

Also, the control of the US over Israeli foreign policy will be lost.

No American learder in Washington will ever pull the plug on Israeli access to US communications during a time of war. Even a war the US maybe want to fight.

As Mr. Pape OP-ED clearly states "Israel cannot crush Hezbollah, it could achieve a more limited goal: ending Hezbollan's acquisition of more missile through Syria. Even the lesser goal of controlling the flow of Chinese missiles movements in Syria can only be done by using the US Space tracking and weapon systems.

This would bring China and the US into a direct confrontation both in the Middle and in Space.

Israel is accessing US most advance Space based weapons systems free of charge or political control.

The Israeli Space Command is being allowed to share space platforms and weapon systems with the most advance US weapon systems. One of Space Command's critical functions is a new way of the operation of America's arsenal of intercontinental ballistic missiles. The US is now able to fire either nuclear or conventional missiles from space, out of range of enemy weapons. Such a capability provides war-fighting commanders the ability to rapidly deny, delay, deceive, disrupt, destroy, exploit and neutralize targets in minutes/hours rather than days/weeks.

Israel access to this capacity would totally destroy the new balance of nuclear power, deterrents emerging with the nuclear arming of Iran by China.

Isreal’s access to US Space Command takes on a whole new meaning in the military space-based tracking system of Hezbollah missile launchings as a final step toward attacking Iran nuclear and ICBM platforms. One of the primary weapons in use is known as the Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI). This is a tracking device, based in space, which could pinpoint and follow the smallest of targets on earth, i.e. Hezbollah missile launchings locations. The new longer range Chinese require more physical infrastructure and are easy to locate. The US Space Command is actively using it GMTI to help the Israeli Air force targeting of the Hezbollah missile infrastructure.

GMTI, has improve the ability to ‘detect, locate, identify and track a wide range of strategic and tactical targets we currently have minimal ability to detect, such as nuclear, biological and chemical weapons and activities, hidden targets and moving air targets'. As suggested in the film "Enemy of the State" and the London terrorist attack show some small targets can get under the GMTI as the Hezbollah is doing in southern Lebenon today.

But GMTI is a major asset best used to take out hard targgets like ICBM missile solos and command and control structures. As in the Dar al-Hikma Hospital attack, small teams would be deployed to attack and destroy missile launching points inside Iran and Syria. The GMTI space platform would allow to reconfurger its nulcear and non-nuclear missile targgeting packages.

Iran would immedicately force China to provide it nuclear ready air, land and sea cruise missiles and ICBMs. Iran is already work to get access to Chinese space platforms to target Israeli cities and miliary assets. The Middle East wars would nolonger be fought just in the Middle East.

Rather than attacking Mr. Pape for destroying the offical Bush-Chinese lobby myth the Chinese are only exporting critical parts for rockets to Hezhollah John Podhoretz of the New York Post, should joint the media campaign to inform the public of dangerous situation Israel and Lebonon are in right now from Chinese missiles.

The New York Post and Mr. Podhoretz should suggest to his fellow University of Chicago alumni: You might want to consider going to the southside of Chicago and networking Black workers and civil rights groups to create a united front for boycotting against Chinese imports. This would hit the Chinese where it hurts the most, their exports. A reduce of 20 billion dollars would set in motion a political process just head of the general elections forcing the Chinese leardership to rethink their Middle East policy.

The Jewish lobby should take the lead and reach out black leardership around a real Middle East peace and economic development program. For the real friends of peace and Israel, the time is now to take US Middle East poilcy to the streets of American, like Hezhollah learned from the Black civil right movement.
