New study predicts 64 percent of Katrina class hurrciane event on East Coast

According to AccuWeather forecaster Joe Bastardi “the Northeast is starting down the barrel of a gun”
According to USA TODAY, April 5, the 2006 forcast by the Tropical Meteorology Project at Colorado State University envisions a higher potential for intense hurricans to strike the East Coast. The report’s “landfall probabitity” outlook sees a 64 percent chance that a major hurricane will hit the East Coast. This probabitity is higher than New Orleans. This prediction if true would mean New York city and other east coast cities are great risk.
All East Coast cities lack the New Orleans levee system and stand defenseless against a Katrina class hurricane.
What new elements are driving this prediction.
